Shipping & Delivery
Items will typically ship within 2 business days from the date of order. We will notify you within 24 hours if any of the items you ordered are on backorder. We will do our best to estimate the ship date for any backordered items.

Our shipping charges are based on standard UPS and U.S. mail rates. Our shopping cart will automatically calculate shipping and handling based on the package weight and distance shipped. You will be offered all available shipping choices and their cost so you can determine the shipping method that best meets your needs. We charge a minimal handling charge to cover the cost of shipping materials and staff time. Any duties, taxes or other customs fees for international orders are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Privacy & Security
Global Sistergoods cares deeply about your privacy. The information that you provide us about yourself or others will never be rented, sold, or in anyway shared with outside parties except when necessary to complete your order or when otherwise required by law.
You can shop at Global Sistergoods online with confidence. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers.

The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:

» 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.

» Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.

» Compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

Returns & Replacements
Please keep in mind that all of our items are handmade. Each item is truly unique and some variation in color and/or pattern from the item pictured do occur.

If you receive a product that is defective or damaged , a replacement will be provided. Please notify us within 5 business days of receiving a defective or damaged product and we will send you a replacement. We will also send you a postage paid envelope to return the damaged product.

If you are completely unsatisfied with a product, it can be returned for a full refund (less shipping charges) or exchange within 30 days of purchase. To make a return, please ship the product back to us at the address on your receipt. Please note, you are responsible for all shipping charges to get a product back to us. Refunds will be issued in the form of original payment.

Fundraising For Your Organization Or Favorite Charity
Global Sistergoods now offers three exciting ways to raise funds for your favorite organization. If you are in the Portland, OR metro area, we would love to help you throw a house party to raise money for your favorite charity. How does it work? You provide the party and friends. We provide Global Sistergoods' products; information about fair trade, the products and the artisans; and even one of our staff to help with the selling.

We are also now offering online house parties. This can be done alone or in conjunction with a traditional house party depending on how your supporters like to shop. An online house party would typically last two days. Here is how this works:
1) You send us a short description of your non profit and a jpg of your logo
2) You will determine two days that you would like to have your sale on
3) We will add you to our gifts that give back section and send you the direct link to your organization
4) You will advertise the sale to your list. We will also send information about the sale to our list. To donate 20% percent of a sale to your organization, customers will need to add you to their shopping cart
5) The link will be up for days you have chosen. We will ship all orders directly to the customers so you never have to deal with merchandise.

Your organization will get 20% of all sales from both a traditional house party and an online house party.

We also offer products to you on consignment. How does it works? We'll work with you to put together an array of products that meets your events needs based on your interests and the number of people you are expecting. We'll pay to ship the products to you. You'll pay to ship back any items that you don't sell. We will then bill you for 70% of the retail costs of the products that you sold. You keep the other 30% for your school, church or non-profit. Artisan Referrals
Do you know a women's artisan group that would benefit from partnering with Global Sistergoods? We would love to hear about them. Send us an email at info@globalsistergoods.com with the contact information and we will contact them as soon as possible. All potential artisan groups will be screened to ensure they meet fair trade requirements.
